The York County Astronomical Society is pleased to announce the dates for the 2010 Mason-Dixon Star Parties.
The FULL MDSP with speakers, raffle, vendors will be held July 9-11, 2010.
The No-Frills MDSP will be held October 8-10, 2010.
PRE-REGISTRATION HAS NOW OPENED FOR THE NO FRILLS FALL MDSP
21st Annual MDSP: July 9-11 and October 8-10
We have moved the FULL MDSP back to the summer months and will hold the NO FRILLS event in October this year.
The 21st Annual Mason Dixon Star Party is a fun event for all members of the family. This location offers a large and level camping and observing area with unlimited space for attendees in southern York country, with reasonably dark skies. This event will also bracket a new moon to provide optimal observing.
The Milky Way is easily seen and stars can be seen less than 10 degrees above the horizon
This is a fun filled Star Party geared for everyone! The Fall MDSP will
feature speakers, vendors, and raffle prizes for all ages. We
also have camping areas, food, showers and facilities, horse
shoe pits, sand volley ball courts and a swimming pool too!
